Our Research and Development team has significant experience in metabolic diseases and is focused on investigating the biological actions and utilities of bioactive peptides and other compounds as potential drug candidates. Currently, we have a great opportunity for a highly motivated professional to directly supervise the Environmental Monitoring Technicians on both day and night shifts.
 
Responsibilities: Provide direct oversight of the site Environmental Monitoring program, which includes sample plan development and maintenance, scheduling of critical sampling, tracking and trending, and investigation of nonconforming results; Coordinate work projects with microbiology manager to appropriately schedule environmental monitoring workload to meet department/site requirements; Schedule employees in regard to workload and backlog to improve efficiency; Mentor/assist Environmental Monitoring Techs in sampling and aseptic practices; Review logbooks (weekly/monthly) ; Supervise staff to maximize productivity and ensure appropriate testing procedures are used in compliance with QA and SOP requirements; Recommend process improvements to improve efficiency; Review SOPs, recommend changes, and update; Issue internal root cause investigations.
 
Qualifications: Strong internal/external customer relations skills; BA/BS in Microbiology or equivalent Biological Sciences; 5-7 years of experience in a cGMP/regulated Pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry; The ability to effectively lead and train employees; Experience in design, construction, start-up and regulatory inspection of a manufacturing plant preferred; 2 years supervisory experience is a plus.
