Piping Design Engineer

The Piping Design Engineer will work within the Engine Systems design team, and is responsible for the layout and design of on-skid piping, support and related equipment. The engineer will be expected to work closely with the Senior Systems Engineer and Package Design Engineer to ensure proper functioning of the main piping systems, including specification of appropriate supports, expansion loops and joints to manage thermal growth and stress. The engineer will work with the applications engineers and EPC contractors to ensure acceptability of off-skid piping, interfaces and imposed flange loads.

What we view as important in your background that would prepare you for this position:

Qualifications: 5 years of experience working in a similar or comparable role; • B.S. or higher; • Experience with applicable codes and standards, including at a minimum ASME B31.3 and BPV Section VIII • Experience in 3D CAD (preferably Autodesk Inventor), piping stress analysis (CAESAR-II or equivalent) • FEA stress analysis (ANSYS or equivalent) • Experience with high temperature (<800�F) piping design; • Licensed Professional Engineer; and • Demonstrable presentation skills.



Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer will work within the Engine Systems design team, and is responsible for specification, integration and control of the electrical power generation equipment, auxiliary electrical equipment (primarily motors and drives), and instrumentation and control hardware. The Engineer will work closely with the Senior Systems Engineer and Package Design Engineer to ensure proper functioning of the on-skid electrical systems, and integration of balance of plant electrical equipment and controls.
 
Responsibilities: (i) creating single-line diagrams, electrical schematics of on-skid and balance of plant equipment, (ii) specification and coordinating the integration and control of power generation equipment, motors, drives and other on-skid electrical equipment, (iii) ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards, (iv) creating instrumentation and control system diagrams, specifying instrumentation and control system components, and (v) selecting and monitor vendor status/progress.

Qualifications:• Minimum 5 years experience in turbine- or engine-driven power generation equipment; • BSEE or higher; • Experience with relevant codes and standards, including at a minimum IEEE 1547; • Autodesk Inventor; • Familiarity with power conversion electronics (IGBT), variable frequency motor drives, instrumentation and control (PLC); • Licensed Professional Engineer; and • Demonstrable presentation skills.
