Job Responsibilities:
Designs and builds web pages using a variety of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools.
1. Designs, builds, deploys, and maintains web pages using a variety of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools. Provides application development and technical support for internal and external websites. Develops web pages and applications for Training Management System (TMS), and/or related systems
2. Designs and develops user-interface features, site animation, and special-effects elements.
3. Designs the website to support the organization/customers strategies and goals relative to external communications.
4. Contributes to the web design groups efforts to specify, improve, and implement the look, feel, and function of online projects. Collaborates, as required, with graphic artists to develop web page graphics that support interactive, user-focused content
5. Interfaces directly with customers, users, graphic artists, and web software developers.
6. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
7. Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced staff, and may have supervisory responsibilities.
8. Provides technical consultation in new systems development, new package evaluations and enhancements of existing systems; prepares functional specifications from which programs will be written, then designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents programs; participates in the technical design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of website enhancements.
9. Plans, schedules and conducts systems tests, monitors test results, and takes appropriate corrective action; may prepare technical user guides.
10. Participates in special projects as required.
Required Education:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Fine Arts or Graphic Design, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
Required Work Experience:
8-10 years of related web design experience.
Other Desirable Requirements:
Mandatory skills: ASP (Active Server Pages), Javascript, SQL (Structured Query Language) and HTML.
Desired skills: Perl Scripting, IIS (Internet Information Services), Windows 2008.NET, and MS Access programming.
