CLE-based Parker announces first solid oxide fuel cell system installation

Silently and efficiently running on propane, the Parker Combined Heat and Power (CHP) Fuel Cell System provides power independence and optional heating and hot water for customers in the recreational vehicle and marine markets. The system, which was co-developed with New York based Watt Fuel Cell Corp., is being installed on a 36-foot sailboat.

Governor�s plan will invest $3b in Ohio�s transportation system

Governor John R. Kasich on Monday unveiled a robust plan for improving Ohio’s transportation system with a $3 billion investment in infrastructure over the next several years. Springboro manufacturer launches new tablet

An Ohio manufacturer looks to drive a revolution in the health care television market.

Springboro-based PDI Communication Systems Inc., which has about 110 employees, started production in the last week of a tablet-like Android-based bedside television for that industry. Also known as the PDI-TAB, it is being billed as the only 14” bedside healthcare-grade HD television of its kind on the market.

Ohio firms reel in $94m in venture capital for 2013's second quarter

Venture capital investing in Ohio was up in the second quarter, even as numbers dipped nationally, according to a new report.

Nationally, $6.7 billion went to 913 deals. That’s down from $7.3 billion and 970 deals in the same quarter a year ago, according to the PwC/NVCA MoneyTree Report, which is based on data from Thomson Reuters. In Ohio, 20 deals accounted for $94 million of investment, up from 17 deals and $52 million a year earlier.

Trumbull County approves tax abatement to welcome company's $2.5m expansion

Trumbull County Commissioners have approved a 75 percent tax abatement requested by a Hubbard company planning to expand. VEC/Evets Electrical Inc. wants to invest $2.5 million to expand it's facility on Erie Street in Hubbard.
