No region has been immune from the Great Recession. Jobs have been lost across the country. But some areas, including Ohio, are doing better because states, cities and industry groups have been pursuing jobs and research programs for years, reports the
Arizona Republic.
The Republic singled out the cities of Pittsburgh and Houston for special attention as well as the states of New Mexico, Utah, and Ohio, which it noted is "a state with its own stimulus plan."
