Ohio hospitals gave $2.9 billion in free or discounted services to their communities in 2009, according to the most recent data from the Ohio Hospital Association, reports
the Business Courier.
The figure included $1.1 billion in charity care, $1.1 billion in Medicaid subsidization and $1.3 billion in community benefit activities.
