Bolt Express was established in 2000 as a small expedite carrier with four employees and 11 trucks. There are currently 90 employees. Bolt Express owns no trucks itself but partners with fleet owner/operators. The company’s business model is based on providing dispatch services 24/7/365 days a year to truck owner/operators. Bolt Express built a new state-of-the-art headquarters in 2005 and earned three AlliancePro Carrier of the Year awards for an average sales increase of 45 percent over each previous year. In 2007, Bolt Express expanded its services to include cross border and intra-Mexico truckload shipping. The company was recently recognized as one of the fastest growing privately owned companies in America by Inc. magazine.
